Job description

By joining our Product Management team as an intern during the summer 2024 or academic year 2024-2025, you, as a student, will have a unique opportunity to explore the highly innovative world of point-of-care diagnostics. The candidate will work closely with product management team to support various aspects of product management, marketing and strategy.

Some of your tasks during your internship:

  • Participate in user testing to understand user errors and improve usability of our current diagnostics products in development, and validation activities
  • Help product management with user research, primary and secondary market research to set up user needs
  • Assist in defining product requirements, prioritizing features and creating user stories.
  • Use data analysis to formulate insights and drive product strategy decisions
  • Help with competitive benchmarking
  • Support product marketing initiatives, including development of marketing materials, product messaging and go-to-market strategies. Assist in creating sales collateral, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Formulate business cases and help with financial modelling of product features

This internship position is based in Leuven, Belgium. Non-disclosure agreement is required.

Job requirements

  • Education: You have to be enrolled in a Belgian university in a Master's degree in Engineering, Biomedical, Bioengineering, Biology, Business management or other relevant major to be eligible for the internship. You must be going into your final year of studies and be excited and motivated to join a small start-up / scale-up company in life sciences.
  • Languages: Excellent English oral and written is a must. Knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.
  • Personal skills: Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical knowledge: MS Office products. Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Timing: We will align our self to the faculty requirements. Preferable start date: June 204 or July 2024 (for Summer), September 2024. Available for a minimum of 12 weeks - preferred longer.
  • Remuneration: according to Belgian legal requirements, the internship will not be paid. However, some expenses will be reimbursed
