Product Manager Molecular Diagnostics
Job description
We are looking for a proactive, result-driven individual to join a highly collaborative and fast-moving team dedicated to developing the next generation of diagnostic products.
As our Product Manager Molecular Diagnostics, you are responsible for driving marketing initiatives, product lifecycle management:
- Gather product and customer requirements by performing market analysis through questionnaires and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation
- Define critical product requirements and prioritize, in order to discuss with R&D the fit of these requirements with technological capabilities
- Act as the voice of the customer in the company through various stages of product definition, prototyping and development, to ensure the development of a product that offers the best user experience
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop the right product to fill market needs and serve as the customer advocate interacting with functional partners including R&D, Program Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Services, Quality and Regulatory
- Create user journeys to understand user interactions with the product
- Lead the user experience and (graphical) interface development
- Prepare for commercialization:
- Define market segmentation, value proposition, commercialization strategy, reimbursement approach, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing, and positioning
- Create a communication launch plan (marketing collaterals, training material, launch event, social media)
- Be part of the launch team (packaging, IFU)
- Assist with long-term strategy development and product pipeline portfolio management aligned with business strategy
In this position, you will be reporting to our Director Strategic Marketing.
Job requirements
- You obtained a Master degree in a scientific area (biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, molecular biology,…)
- You have at least 3 years of experience in Product Management
- 5 years experience in infectious diseases is desired, preferably in healthcare/medical device industry.
- Knowledge of molecular diagnostics, POC, infectious diseases
- Superior networking skills
- You are a customer oriented person with excellent networking and interpersonal communication skills including influencing and presentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong conceptual thinking and innovative skills
- Ability to translate market input from diverse fields into product requirements
- Solid result driven personality, high level of enthusiasm, energy and internal motivation/drive
- Eager to learn novel concepts and technologies
- An excellent knowledge of English is a must (spoken and written); Knowledge of Dutch and any other European language (French, Spanish) is an asset
- You feel comfortable in a start-up environment and you can easily switch from one task to another
- You appreciate working in an open space amongst enthusiastic, multidisciplinary and international colleagues
- Domestic and international travel is required (approximately 10-15%)
